During my journey on this research paper, I expierienced A lot of struggle in the aspects that I wasn't fully understanding what i needed to research. I definally procrasinated a lot of the way. I eventually understood what i needed to be writing and researching.

Research Paper: Three Good Things
By applying the Three Good Things Process to my daily life it could be seen as a positive impact on my life. Here you will find why the process works for me. I gave three ideas that you can possibly use and try yourself. I hope you like it and can use it in your daily life.
First off I’m going to start this off with the fact that if you do positive things your life will nine times out of ten be better in that moment. I have expiereneced this techniqe multiple times. Yes not saying thus works for everyone, but would not you rather be positive over negative? Would not you rather have joy in your life over bitterness. Id say give this a try because you would feel a lot better in the long run. Imagine it this way, you feel like your having a awful week. You feel like everything is going completley wrong in your life. If you began to look back on the things that were bothering you and then took a look of some of the things you did that same day that may not have been that bad, maybe then you could feel alot better. What id do is record the three good things that happened to you that day, and then id also take the three bad things that happened and compare them. I would then analiyze those things and figure out ways to keep the bad out and keep the good in. At the end of the week you would have a whole jounral full of positive and negative things.
Second thing that would be able to help you stay positive is surrounding yourself with positive things/people. According to (Jim Rohn 1) he says “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,” What I took from that was in order to be positive you should be with people who make you feel good. You shouldn’t be around people who make you negative. According to (Dr. Travis Bradberry 2) “negativity compromises the effectiveness of the neurons in the hippocampus — an important area of the brain responsible for reasoning and memory.” Well if that doesn’t make you want to be positive then you must be a miserable someone and should reconsider your life. Being positive is the way to go. I rememeber there was a time i used to hangout with negative people and most of my moods where miserable. I then realized that I needed to get away from these negative people and start to surround myself with positive people.
My third and last thing I want to discuss about the three good things process is that is that you should live a healthy lifestyle and have healthy thoughts. In order to be positive. For instances when you live in a way of life that is negative like doing drugs, drinking every night or being mean to one another etc. Your life will be pretty negative. If you eat healthy, are nice to people, give thanks with a grateful heart, etc. you’ll notice that your life might be just a little bit more positive. According to (Dr. Harpham, 3) she said “Fostering positive emotions helped make my life the best it could be,”“They made the tough times easier, even though they didn’t make any difference in my cancer cells.” If you make your thoughts positive your life will have a more positive impact on you.
Well, I hope whoever is reading this can take in some of the things I wrote. You will honestly have a better life if you just try and do things positive. Call out to Jesus and ask him for help. He is alway there for your help no matter what. He loves you and will help you in any aspect of your life. All you have to do is call out to him and he will always provide!

Research Project: Three Good Things
By applying the Three Good Things Process to my daily life it could be seen as a positive impact on my well being. I could say that me applying it to my daily life, It made things a lot easier for me, and looking back on that week, I realized it helped ease my mind. When I say “when i looked back on that week,” I mean that we were given a assignment by my professor, and the goal of that assignment was for us to journal three good things that happened to us each day for a week. Then what we were supposed to do with the information was to write about how it impacted our well being. By the end of that week we should of had 21 journal entry’s with the way it impacted our well being in a positive way. I will now be informing the reader how this process went for me, and how it made my well being a lot more positive.
When I first started this assignment, I was in a depressive state of mind. I was very fatigue, and grouchy most days. I felt like I didn’t know how to get out of this state. I felt like life was always throwing curve balls at me, and it just felt so stressful. When my professor presented the assignment to me and my classmates, I thought to myself, “Great, how am I going to find positive things that happen in my daily life, when my life is nothing but negativity, plus three positive things at that!” I left class wondering what positive thing is going to happen to me so I can get this assignment done and over with. I went about my day as usual but I of course did something different. I began to pay more attention to the things I did in my daily life. I began to realize when I started to pay attention I realized theirs more happiness in my life then I ever thought. A guy named Paul Dolan who teaches at the London School of Economics and was a visiting scholar at Princeton where he worked with Nobel-Prize winner Daniel Kahneman. He was explaining how important it is to pay attention. “Your happiness is determined by how you allocate your attention. What you attend to drives your behavior and it determines your happiness. Attention is the glue that holds your life together… The scarcity of attentional resources means that you must consider how you can make and facilitate better decisions about what to pay attention to and in what ways. If you are not as happy as you could be, then you must be misallocating your attention… So changing behavior and enhancing happiness is as much about withdrawing attention from the negative as it is about attending to the positive.” After figuring this out, I began to pay more attention and appreciate my life a little more.
I began the first day of my assignment with a lot of eye opening things I had learned in just one day. By the second day of the assignment, I was looking for answers. I remember waking up and I felt a little less tired, and wasn’t as moody. I wanted the full effects of this assignment, so I began to experiment a little. As I am paying more attention to my life, I tried something else as well. I began to think of what was making me feel so negative most days of my life. I then made a list of all the things that could have been making me feel negative. I went through the list and came to a understanding that i’m holding onto things from my past that are affecting me on a regular basis. A girl named Mitzi Hernandez said, “Every second you spend dwelling on the past is a second of your present that you are missing. Your past mistakes can’t help you improve yourself. But any other past events are not worth worrying about. Start living in the present. It’s a pearl of wisdom everyone should keep in mind.” I knew after reading that, that I needed to let go of the past. I needed to move forward and to start fresh. That’s why with the “three good things” process, I could start off new.
When I got to the middle of the week, my whole view on the days ahead seemed a lot brighter. I was now realizing that there were some positive things that happened in my life on a day to day basis. It was just a matter of me opening my eyes and realizing it. Taking it in day by day and absorbing it into my brain. A guy named Matthew Ballew and Allen Omoto wrote that “absorption emerged as a significant mediator of nature's impact on positive emotions.” In order for me to absorb the positivity I was going to need to fill my mind with positive things. Thanks to the three good things process, I was already doing that.
By the end of the week, I began to notice a tremendous change in myself. I woke up each day feeling a lot happier and less tired. I noticed I wasn’t even grumpy. It almost felt like I was a changed person. I most definitely recommend this process because it honestly worked for me. On another note it didn’t just help me with my mood, but it also taught me a lesson about my life. It taught my life the lesson that don’t take life for granted but instead try and find the good things in your life. Life is what you make it, so if your going to make it negative, in my experience it’s going to be that way, but if you make it positive, in my experience it will be positive.
